At Red Buddha Yoga and Wellness we believe that yoga is more than just a physical practice, it is a practice that benefits our mental, energetic and spiritual bodies, and our curriculum is developed with this in mind, to provide our students with a comprehensive foundation to be an inspirational yoga instructor.

6 week long program starting 8am November 2 2018.

A message from Meg:

The anatomy is outstanding, taught by Keiko Fernandez PhD, she guides us through the intricate layered physical body systematically while referring to her experience of dissecting a human body for one year.  Her knowledge is so deep, yet she makes the learning digestible for all.  The philosophy is one of the best programs I think in the Americas.  I just spent some time with Edwin F. Bryant - he is the leading Indologist in the world. He has given me so much insight into the Sutras..I feel very blessed.  And then the physical piece - will be a complete inspection of all of the poses - how to get into, transitional work, drishtis, breathwork applied, adjustments for a variety of different body types.  Kino Macgregor just equipped me with some unique Yoga drills, so we will be incorporating interesting movements to enrich your physical practice.  Your personal piece - will be the Kriyas..lots of cleansing techniques to make sure you have that personal journey …so you can inspire your students.

The current cost is 3,000USD.   To secure your spot is $1000USD, 70% refundable (due to ordering books, and planning for your training).

Namaste!

Meg

Raja Yoga

We use Patanjali’s Eight-Fold Path (Ashtanga Yoga) as our guide in how we teach the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual benefits that are accessible through daily practice. Our program includes asana (postures), meditation, pranayama (breath work) mantra (chanting of Sanskrit) as well as the study of yoga philosophy.

Vinyasa Flow

The Red Buddha Vinyasa Flow is the yoga of spiritual practice based on the Ashtanga vinyasa tradition.  Each pose is typically held between five to ten breaths followed by a breath-controlled vinyasa leading to the next pose.  In this sequence we move with fluidity, buoyancy, strength, and vigor.

Hatha Flow

The Red Buddha Hatha Practice is the yoga of spiritual practice based on the classic poses found in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika.  After Sun Salutations warm-ups, postures are held for a space of time.  By integrating breath and intention, each pose becomes a pose of meditation.

Ashtanga Yoga of Mysore India

The Ashtanga Series is that of Pattabhi Jois' Primary Series.
